I sent Fugitive in this morning (Monday) feeling like I could have worked on it for another month and still found things that needed tweaking. I'm sure I've quoted this line here before, but it really does apply.

That is SO true about books! I polish and tweak and fiddle with a book until I'm blue in the face, and then send it in knowing that it still isn't as good as it could be. What can I say? The perfectionist in me takes over sometimes and just won't let me believe that, yes, I am, indeed, finished!
I should probably take the day off and just do fun things to celebrate, but there are blogs to write and books to finish. Plus, my husband took my car when he went in for his stress test today, so I'm less inclined to leave the house. I'll pick some beans later on when my garden is in the shade, but right now, I'm thinking about Yvan and Laura and what they might be doing on that nude beach after a few days of getting to know each other.
And then there is James Dominic Monas to consider.
