We now enter that phase between New Year's and the Spring equinox during which we attempt to remember what green grass and blooming flowers smell like. We buy bouquets at the grocery to remind ourselves that yes, there is growth going on somewhere, though said bouquets are sterile and devoid of scent. We might even try to keep our poinsettias alive long enough to be able to set them outside, but as their leaves and petals wither, hope fades. The promise of Easter lilies becomes a mere myth, and the only lilies we can smell are in scented soaps. The sky is gray far more than blue, and cold winds whip at our hair, driving us indoors.
This is why we need the Goddess of the Nine Moons to provide us with spiritual guidance and solace during these months of little or no sunshine when flowers are naught but withered stalks and the grass has turned a sad, muddy brown. The Goddess helps those who help themselves, and, therefore, I challenge all Yah-Yahs to find the chosen set of buns, that which we should all recognize and admire for their glowing firmness. In this way shall we pass the bleakness of winter in anticipation of a time when all good hunks go forth without clothing to feel the warm sunshine on their backs and to tan their winter-white skin.
So let it be written.
So let it be done.
