We left Suzie's house at about 8 am. Suzie had been up since 3, which was about the time Terri went to bed. Angela had worked all night, so guess who got to drive?
At first, we put Weenie Man, aka Willy, in the back of the truck with our luggage, but, not surprisingly, he insisted on riding up front with the girls.
He made a nice traveling companion. Never noisy, didn't tell me how to drive, and basically just held onto his YD whenever he thought I was driving too fast. I felt like I was driving too fast most of the time, myself. There isn't a place in Indiana that I know of where the speed limit is more than 60, but on I-75 through Kentucky, I was driving 75, which seemed awfully fast to someone like me who isn't used to it, plus, I was driving Suzie's truck, rather than my own car.
You just gotta hand it to Willy, though. The boy really knows how to celebrate an event like reaching the Tennessee state line!

Upon our arrival in Pigeon Forge, we had a late lunch at the Apple Barn. A word to the wise here: Never go to this place unless you are starving. They serve one person enough food for a family of four. Willy was very fond of the apple fritters. I took his picture with them, but it was a bit overexposed--pun intended!
Then it was on to the hotel, where he made a quick stop in the gift shop to check out the bears.
We were supposed to get a room with a view of the creek, but it wasn't clean yet, so we were moved to another room with a view of the woods and the parking lot. Willy didn't mind the change of rooms a bit, and made himself right at home on the deck while Suzie, Angela, and Terri took naps.
*yawn* It's been a long day. Time for a shot of tequila and a good night's sleep. Who knows what we'll do tomorrow!
And for all of you Yah-Yahs who just can't make it through a Monday without a nice set of buns, here's another one for you!
