Happy Groundhog Day!

The little bugger better not fail us this time. I don't know about you, but I am SO ready for spring! Which would you prefer?
 This?

Or this?

Same tree, different season. I know which one I'd choose. No contest!

Then again, if I had something like this to play with, I wouldn't mind a little snow!

Wednesday Weather Woes!

First of all, here's the birthday card that Donna sent to Nancy:

LOL! Just goes to show that you're never too old for a lap dance. . . .

If we still have power after last night's freezing rain, I'll be around today. If I don't show up, you'll know why. We haven't run our generator for a while, so who knows if it will work. I bought some gas for it and went to the store and bought all the usual emergency supply stuff, but I sure hope I don't need it!

The hardest thing is taking care of the horses in this kind of weather. Without power to the tank de-icer, their water trough will freeze up, and just walking to the barn is a challenge. Oh, and the fact that our well runs on electricity. No power, no water. I'm supposed to work tonight, too. I told them they probably shouldn't expect me to show up, but you never know what the weather will do. It's supposed to change over to all rain, and with any luck it will melt the ice, but I'm not counting on it.

Ah, well, Spring will come, and then---

No wait! I almost forgot! Today is Groundhog Day! I don't think spring is coming anytime soon, no matter what the little bugger has to say. At least not around here.

And it's Wednesday too. Can't forget the whoppers even in an ice storm! Here's one of those pics Alicia referred to yesterday. Actually, Donna had already sent this one. . . .

But this is the picture Alicia would take if he ever visited her Queendom!

Keep warm and enjoy your Wednesday!
