Weenie Man goes shopping for Arts & Crafts!

We got off to a slow start Tuesday morning. Terri had slipped and fallen when we went to the grocery at Walmart the night before. She was rescued by the three guys waiting behind us in line, who only spoke Spanish, but were quite willing to come to the aid of a damsel in distress. As a result of her fall, she was pretty stiff and sore, and after all the tromping around we did on Monday, nobody else had much in the way of energy, either.

Except Weenie Man! He was as game as ever, going from shop to shop in the Arts & Crafts community north of Gatlinburg. All the climbing in and out of the truck was hard on us old women, but Willy rode in my pocket with his feet sticking out wherever we went and came out fresh as a daisy!

We checked out all sorts of craft stores--selling everything from rocks to jelly, soap, paintings, and antiques. Willy tried to talk me into buying this set of windchimes, but they were pretty pricey, so I had be firm.

A lot of the stores were closed for the season, but there was still plenty of places to shop. Though the scenery is undoubtedly much more beautiful in every other season, this place was one of the few that was pretty even in February. Willy wanted his picture taken there, but I told him we had to do it on a railing that wasn't over a creek. Can't risk losing Willy!

He liked this holly tree though, so I took his picture there. At least there was only a fountain beside it and not a creek. You just can't be too careful with a guy like Willy!

Willy wanted me to buy this rocker for him, but there wasn't room in the truck and the store was closed, so he had to be satisfied with taking a short rest in it.

I bought a ton of stuff at Alewine Pottery, most of it for me, but I did get some of my Christmas shopping done early. Hopefully I won't have forgotten where I put it when December rolls around.

Then we had lunch at the Mountain Lodge Restaurant, which is open daily for breakfast and lunch. The food was great, and I highly recommend it!

We did a little more shopping, and then came back to the hotel and crashed.

As I write, Angela is watching Untamed and Uncut Rodeo Rampage and I'm blogging. The sun is beginning to set over Gatlinburg, as you can see from this view from our balcony.

I'm about to start working on one of the novellas for Siren and later on, I'll make that Chicken Garlic dip recipe of Mellanie Szereto's that I posted yesterday.

But, even though I'm on vacation, today is still Wednesday, and therefore we must have a weasel to celebrate.

Last week you all went nuts over Lucas and his YD, now you can get a load of his fabulous blue eyes... and some of his other parts....

Whopping Weasel Wednesday!

When you start breathing again, come on over to Casablanca Authors. I've got a post up, and we're having lots of giveaways this month. Today I'm giving away an advance copy of Virgin. Not sure when I'll get them, but hopefully it'll be soon.

Meanwhile, enjoy your Wednesday!

Whopping Weasel Wednesday!

I just realized I made a tactical error when I posted that picture of Klaus Hee in all his yummydoodle glory on a day other than a Wednesday! The pretty eyes/whopping weasel combination is hard to find.

So, I suppose I'll have to post two pics. one with eyes, and one without!

Disclaimer:
THESE TWO PHOTOGRAPHS ARE NOT OF THE SAME MAN!

But they both have really nice lips. . . .

No, wait! I found one!

Okay, now that this important presentation is taken care of, greetings from Orlando! I'm supposed to have lunch with my agent today and then there's the Literacy Booksigning this evening, which leaves the rest of the day for Marie (Force) and me to take Orlando by storm!

Orlando Bloom, that is. . . .

Ha, ha! We wish. . . .
