I ran into Kate Douglas again and got a picture of us together. She's trying to write a book while she's here. I must admit, it's all I can do to keep up with the blogs!
After the morning workshops, we had lunch at the Carina Press Launch party, where Marie Force is having a book published. Yay, Marie! Looking good, girl!
Lunch was served in a martini glass. Very odd! You put in your mashed potatoes and beef tips and then topped it with a variety of things and there were cupcakes for dessert. LOL! I went back for seconds, so I guess I can say I had a two martini lunch!
After an afternoon of workshops where I learned about everything from writing kick-ass fight scenes to how to write MMF romance, Caroline and I headed back to the room for some R & R (and blogging!) before the Vampire Ball. Then we slathered on the makeup, I donned a few fancy accessories bought from a vendor at the convention and the outfit from last year's Rita awards, and voila! A pair of vampire victims were born!
There were lots of great costumes, but unfortunately, it was so dark inside the ballroom that I couldn't get a decent picture. However, these ladies were behind us in line and had such great costumes, I had to take a picture. No one objected to them being on the internet, so here they are!
Tomorrow is the Book Fair where I'll be signing copies of Fugitive. That night is the Dorchester Ball, which is sort of like prom night. I must admit, I'll be glad to quit having to wear fancy duds and get back to normal!
Sort of like this cowboy. All he needs to be comfy are his hat and chaps. . . .

Enjoy your Saturday!
